ROV Crew

TMT are actively recruiting ROV Crew to work on current and upcoming projects in Australia. We are seeking crew who are based in all states of Australia, including New South Wales & Victoria. We have both long term and short term opportunities available for experienced ROV Supervisors, Submersible Engineers and Pilot Technicians.

Essential Requirements:

  • Trade Qualification – Electrotechnology, Electronics or Mechanical trade
  • Completion of relevant IMCA Competency
  • Work Class ROV Experience (preferred)
  • Current HUET/FOET
  • CA-EBS
  • Current OGUK Medical

ROV Project Manager

We are currently recruiting for a ROV Project Manager to join our Operations Department.

This position is offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis at our Bibra Lake office and workshop facility. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handling technical enquiries from various stakeholders (including clients) about TMT’s ROV/tooling systems;
  • Ensuring testing of relevant offshore equipment is compliant with company and client procedures;
  • Preparing, managing and updating maintenance procedures;
  • Conducting onsite audits of ROV systems;
  • Assisting the Operations Manager with mobilisation/demobilisation of ROV/tooling equipment.

Criteria:  

  • Either a bachelors degree in engineering or a trade qualification in a mechanical, electrical, or electronics discipline;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Project Management or Project Engineering, preferably in the subsea industry;
  • Experience working with ROVs and tooling packs (preferred);
  • Strong time management and problem solving skills;
  • Hands on technical skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills;
  • Ability to cope in high pressure situations.

Senior Design Engineer

Are you mechanically minded? Do you enjoy tinkering in your garage, experimenting, problem solving, fixing things? Have you expanded on your 3D modelling and drafting on your own out of passion and curiosity? Are you driven to learn and develop? 

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to join our Engineering Department and we want to hear from you!

This position is offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis at our Bibra Lake office and workshop facility. 

Your main responsibilities in this position will include:

  • Liaising with clients and addressing requirements; 
  • Concept development;
  • Designing and developing of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic underwater robotic systems (ROVs) and tooling;
  • Preparation of detailed CAD models and drawings;
  • Design calculations;
  • Ensuring designs conform to relevant standards;
  • Conducting quality control checks for all active projects;
  • Monitoring project cost and progress;
  • Preparing project reports.

Criteria:

  • BEng, BSc, or MSc in mechanical/structural engineering discipline;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Engineering experience in the marine and offshore industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering processes;
  • Skilled in mechanical design;
  • Ability to work with clients in developing solutions that meet their needs.

Project Engineer (Electrical)

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Electrical / Electronics Engineering Department.

This position is offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis at our Bibra Lake office and workshop facility.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals;
  • Designing of LV & MV electrical power systems;
  • Ensuring designs conform to relevant standards;
  • Checking authority for drawings;
  • Coordinating technical activities between engineering disciplines on assigned projects;
  • Attending project meetings and offering information specific to assigned projects;
  • Preparing procedures, manuals, project files.

Criteria:  

  • Bachelor degree in electrical engineering;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience;
  • Good project management skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Good communication and document writing skills;
  • Microsoft Project experience;
  • Experience in power systems design.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in the marine and offshore industry;
  • Experience with electro-hydraulic designs;
  • Experience with ETAP and EEHA.

Electrician

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician.

This position is offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis at our Bibra Lake office and workshop facility. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Keeping up to date with appropriate codes and standards;
  • Assembly and wiring of electrical enclosures and distribution boards;
  • Installing, maintaining, and testing TMT electrical equipment and ROV systems;
  • Assisting with commissioning and mobilising of ROV systems;
  • Completing test records for electrical projects;
  • Tagging and repairing of tools and equipment;
  • Updating the tagging and equipment register;
  • Supervising and mentoring apprentices;
  • Willing to do remote work.

Criteria:  

  • Oil and gas industry experience (preferred);
  • A Grade Electrical Licence;
  • Hazardous area trained  / experience (preferred);
  • Ability to read wiring or circuit diagrams;
  • Neat wiring skills;
  • Experience in fault-finding;
  • Enthusiastic and positive worker;
  • Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Computer skills;
  • Willingness to learn.

Electronics Apprentice

We are currently seeking an Electronics Apprentice. The apprenticeship will be based at our Bibra Lake office and workshop facility with potential opportunities for offshore work over the term of the apprenticeship.

Project Planner / Cost Controller

We are currently looking for a Project Planner / Cost Controller to join our PMO team.

This position is offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis at our Bibra Lake office and workshop facility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing concise planning and project reports on a regular basis;
  • Developing project execution plans;
  • Developing and maintaining project planning and execution schedules in Microsoft Project;
  • Developing and maintaining project budgets and cost trackers;
  • Developing project costing estimates during tender phase;
  • Developing monthly expenditure and commitment forecasts;
  • Developing and maintaining real time tracking tools for resource forecasting, including workshop workflow scheduling;
  • Analysing project performance, critical path, and earned value
  • Focal point for Projects module in the ERP system, which will include training other personnel
  • Assisting with setup and maintenance of PMO

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering and/or Commerce;
  • Knowledge and experience in planning/scheduling, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Experience with project management in a multi-disciplinary technical environment.
  • Thorough and extensive knowledge of project controls principles, theories, and concepts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and self-motivated.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with subsea oil and gas industry;
  • Contracts management experience;
  • PMP Certification and/or Six Sigma lean management qualifications are desirable but not essential for the role;
  • Experience with MS Project;
  • Experience with ERP system Epicor;
  • PMBOK knowledge;
  • Experience in setting up or maintaining Project Management Office.
