ROV Supervisor, ROV Sub Engineer or ROV Pilot Technician - Timor-Leste nationals

TMT is always looking for bright and hardworking individuals who possess the drive and determination to perform well in the subsea industry.

As a result of upcoming work in the Timor Sea, we currently have opportunities for Timor-Leste nationals to join our team in the roles of either ROV Supervisor, ROV Sub Engineer or ROV Pilot Technician.

Start: July 2021

Duration: up to 45 days

Location: Bayu-Undan (Joint Petroleum Development Area), departing Dili Airport

Requirements:

  • IMCA Competency Certificate at either ROV Supervisor/ROV Sub Engineer/ROV Pilot Technician level
  • OGUK Medical (or willing to complete)
  • FOET or BOSIET (or willing to complete)
  • A minimum of 5 years of prior experience operating ROVs
  • Knowledge of work class ROV systems is a requirement of the role
  • Ability to communicate effectively (English is the predominant language for manuals and technical information)
  • Positive attitude and commitment to occupational health and safety

Application Support - Malaysia

TMT is currently looking for a new team member to join our Project Services / Business Services team in the role of Application Support. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis based at our Puchong, Malaysia site.

Graduate Engineer

TMT is currently looking for a Graduate Engineer to join our Engineering Team. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis based at our Bibra Lake facility.

We are seeking graduates who are looking for a career and not “just a job”. Some of our most highly regarded engineers commenced with us whilst still at university. If you are mechanically minded (tinkered in your garage fixing things, enjoy experimenting and learning from your mistakes), curious and driven, expanded on your 3D modelling and drafting on your own then we want to hear from you.

Your main responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Designing of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic underwater robotic systems and tooling in an ISO 9001 environment;
  • Ensuring designs conform to relevant standards;
  • Preparing procedures, manuals, project files, HSEQ reporting, certifications and progress reports;
  • Most importantly preparation of detailed CAD models and drawings;

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Recent graduate with degree in Engineering;

Project Engineer (Electronics)

TMT is currently looking for a Project Engineer (Electronics) to join our Electrical / Electronics Department.
This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis based at our Bibra Lake facility.

Your main responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals;
  • Designing of electrical and electronic underwater robotic systems;
  • Ensuring designs conform to relevant standards;
  • Checking authority for drawings;
  • Coordinating technical activities between engineering disciplines on assigned projects;
  • Attending project meetings and offering information specific to assigned projects;
  • Preparing procedures, manuals, project files.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in electrical, electronic, or mechatronic engineering;
  • Minimum of 4 years of design and project experience;
  • Good project management skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Good communication and document writing skills;
  • Microsoft Project experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Remote Operated Vehicle design;
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (Oil & Gas / Heavy Industry).

ROV Project Manager

TMT is currently looking for an ROV Project Manager to join our Operations Department in supporting our offshore based work and projects in a technical capacity.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis based at our Bibra Lake facility. 

 Your main responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Handling technical enquiries from various stakeholders (including clients) about TMT’s ROV/tooling systems;
  • Ensuring testing of relevant offshore equipment is complaint with company and client procedures;
  • Preparing, managing and updating maintenance procedures;
  • Conducting onsite audits of ROV systems;
  • Assisting the Operations Manager with mobilisation/demobilisation of ROV/tooling equipment.

 Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical or electronics discipline;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering for the subsea industry, along with proven experience working with ROVs and tooling packs.

 Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering;
  • Strong time management and problem solving skills;
  • Hands on technical skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills;
  • Ability to cope in high pressure situations

Senior Document Controller

We have an opportunity to join our team in the role of Senior Document Controller. The position is offered on either a part-time or full-time, permanent basis to provide document management and control for our projects and overall company.

Your main responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Manage and maintain all controlled company documents
  • Maintenance of the document control register, for both company and projects;
  • Oversee the document management system (SharePoint) and processes to ensure correct handling of documents.
  • Review and editing of documents to ensure quality and compliance;
  • Tracking all project document submissions;
  • Provide input into process improvements;
  • Assist the technical writer with the writing of project documents;
  • Assist with project close out documents.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years in a similar role;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business are desirable but not essential;
  • Strong working knowledge of Document Management Systems;
  • A high level of computer literacy in all MS Office applications, specifically SharePoint;
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Strong attention to detail;

Workshop Trades Assistant

We have an opportunity to join our team in the role of Workshop Trades Assistant. The position is offered on a casual basis.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must hold a current driver’s licence and forklift licence;
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a workshop environment as a Trades Assistant;
  • Prior experience with fabrication duties;

Electronics Technician

Total Marine Technology is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Electronics Technician to join our team. The applicant will be responsible for building, testing, fault finding and maintenance of Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV) and other subsea tooling and equipment.

This is an opportunity to join a leading Australian manufacturer of robotic systems, on a full time, permanent basis based at our Bibra Lake facility.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A sound commitment to workplace health, safety and quality; 
  • Trade qualification in Electronics and Communications or similar;
  • 3+ years experience in electronic/electromechanical servicing or manufacturing;
  • In depth knowledge of fault diagnosis and repairs of electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulics products / assemblies;
  • Write, complete and sign technical reports and documents with attention to detail;
  • Competent in populating bread-boarding / prototyping circuits or soldering SMD / Through hold components to prototype PCBs as per BOM;
  • Ability to understand circuit schematic diagrams and mechanical drawings;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently while maintaining strong communication skills;
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is a must.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with Microchip PICs and programming;
  • Experience with different communication protocols such as RS485, RS 232 and Ethernet;
  • Familiar with analogue and digital video systems;
  • Experience with fibre optic systems and terminations;
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits;
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems;
  • Experience with servicing subsea instrumentation equipment e.g (Sonar, DVLs); 
  • Proficiency in using a vast range of software including testing software, OEM software, diagnostic software and Microsoft office software package. 

The successful applicant must be willing, if required, to work additional overtime hours (including occasional weekend work) and work offshore to support mobilisation and offshore operations.
