Graduate Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join TMT in our Mechanical Engineering Team.

This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis based at our Bibra Lake office and workshop facility. 

Your main responsibilities in this position will include:

  • Designing of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic underwater robotic systems and tooling in an ISO 9001 environment;
  • Preparation of detailed CAD models and drawings;
  • Ensuring designs conform to relevant standards;
  • Preparing procedures, manuals, project files, HSEQ reports, certifications and progress reports. 

Criteria:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in mechanical and/or mechatronic engineering;;
  • Understanding of engineering processes;
  • Competency in 3D CAD and Microsoft Office software packages;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and self-motivated.

Project Engineer (Electronics)

TMT is currently looking for a Project Engineer (Electronics) to join our Electrical / Electronics Department.
This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis based at our Bibra Lake facility.

Your main responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals;
  • Designing of electrical and electronic underwater robotic systems;
  • Ensuring designs conform to relevant standards;
  • Checking authority for drawings;
  • Coordinating technical activities between engineering disciplines on assigned projects;
  • Attending project meetings and offering information specific to assigned projects;
  • Preparing procedures, manuals, project files.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in electrical, electronic, or mechatronic engineering;
  • Minimum of 4 years of design and project experience;
  • Good project management skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Good communication and document writing skills;
  • Microsoft Project experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Remote Operated Vehicle design;
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (Oil & Gas / Heavy Industry).

ROV Crew

TMT are actively recruiting ROV Crew to work on current and upcoming projects in Australia. We are seeking crew who are based in all states of Australia, including New South Wales & Victoria. We have both long term and short term opportunities available for experienced ROV Supervisors, Submersible Engineers and Pilot Technicians.

Essential Requirements:

  • Trade Qualification – Electrotechnology, Electronics or Mechanical trade 
  • Completion of relevant IMCA Competency
  • Work Class ROV Experience (preferred)
  • Current HUET/FOET
  • CA-EBS 
  • Current OGUK Medical

Asset Coordinator

We are currently looking for an Asset Coordinator to join our Assets Department to support our offshore-based work and projects in a technical capacity.

This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis at our Bibra Lake office and workshop facility. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Generating work packs and issuing to the workshop;
  • Updating maintenance records;
  • Determine operational readiness of equipment;
  • Assisting 3rd party and client inspections, including FAT/SIT;
  • Support Quality department with documentation for ISO/client compliance;
  • Support on-site audits of ROV systems.

Preferred Criteria:  

  • Trade qualification in mechanical or electrotechnology discipline;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the oil and gas industry;
  • Demonstrable experience working with industrial, mechanical, and electrical equipment;
  • Experience working with subsea equipment is preferred, but not essential;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of oil and gas industry compliance standards, including DNV and IMCA;
  • Knowledge of ISO 55001/3628-8 and API 17H is advantageous;
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills;
  • Hands-on technical skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills;
  • Ability to cope in high-pressure situations.
