Surveyor Plus Features

A high powered survey and inspection vehicle with a large payload and an enviable international track record. SURVEYOR PLUS is a suitable ROV system with a medium five function and a abroad interfacing capacity. The system can be operated as a free swimming vehicle or alternatively, in conjunction with its TMS with a 150 metre operational radius.

Propulsion

Ten SEAEYE SM4M high efficient brushless DC thrusters. Configuration is eight vectored horizontal units and two vertical units. SURVEYOR PLUS is an extremely powerful and stable survey platform with full chassis members.

Chassis

A 100% modular chassis manufactured in Polypropylene. The extremly rugged chassis is totally maintenance free, non corroding and self supporting in seawater. Additional equipment may be bolted directly to chassis members.

Buoyancy

Two blocks of closed cell polyurethane foam either side of the vertical thrusters along the entire length of the vehicle.

 

Pressure Housings

All pressure housings are machined from 6082 marine grade aluminium and hard anodised in black. Water ingress alarm system is fitted

SEAEYE range of 316 stainless steel connectors are generally used throughout

Control System

16 bit digital system providing rasy interfacing to anciliary equipment by the operator. Comprehensive video overlay with digital and analogue compass rose, turns ount, P&T icons, CP value, date time group, depth (metric or imperial), pre-fitted and free text pages. Vehicle data may be exported to clients Survey or Navigation computer system via the SEAEYE. Telemetry Interface Unit in conjunction with a PC.

Navigation

Sensitive flux-gate compass unit with enhanced azimuth stability from a solid state sensor system.

Automatic pilot is provided for heading and depth

Tilt System

Tilt platform providing -+90" of tilt from the horizontal. The camera platform is designed to accomodate most commercial TV cameras. The tilt is provided with positional feedback with the tilt angle displayed on the video overlay.

Lighting

Two seperately controlled lighting channels. Each channel has two individually fused SEAEYE 150W lamp units. Lamp units can be moved individually to suit local operating conditions.

 

Video System

Two simultaneous TV channels. Video transmission to the surface is via dual balanced line driver and two screended twisted pairs. SEAEYE CCD colour TV Camera is fitted as standard

Surface Control Unit

Contains all surface vehicle control electronics and surface outlets for anciliary equipment. This unit is 19" tack mountable. This unit is supplied in a totally sealed (when closed) steel enclosure.

Pilots Hand Control Unit

A small remote hand control unit containing al system controls. Unit is supplied with a 5cm 'flying lead'

Surface Power Supply Unit

Supplies all power requirements for the vehicle system. Line isolation Monitor (LIM) are fitted to DC power components for system safety and monitoring purposes. Requires 5 phase AC input of between 380 vac and 480 vac at 15kva
