Essential Requirements:

  • Cert III in Electrotechnology Trade Qualification

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Grow and develop our sales pipeline by identifying new opportunities and working with our entire team to advance these opportunities to successful sales
  • Clearly present and support our value and competitive advantage through customer presentations and attendance at industry and professional events
  • Work to increase brand awareness as well as partnerships with industry peers
  • Ensure the successful execution of our internal processes related to sales and marketing

 

Business Acquisitions

  • Identify and execute Capital transaction opportunities
  • Analyse and short list opportunities
  • Prepare feasibilities, cash flow models and assist in deal structuring
  • Manage due diligence process with internal and external advisors
  • Coordinate the internal approval process, including preparing and reviewing papers and recommendations for the Business Unit Leadership Teams, Executive Committee and Board
  • Assist with the integration of new assets into the company

Essential Criteria:

Electronic Technician (Workshop)
We have an opportunity to join our team in the role of Workshop Electronics Technician. The position is workshop based and provides electronic technical support to all other departments within the company. The position is offered on a casual basis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and testing of TMT designed equipment
  • Preparation and testing of both OEM and TMT equipment for mobilisation/demobilisation
  • Repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Complete detailed documentation of work completed using various reporting methods
  • Writing of test documentation and procedures
  • R&D support to engineering department for the assembly and testing of one off bespoke tooling solutions and new product design
  • Carry out methodical troubleshooting of electromechanical equipment

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualified in electronics
  • 5 years + experience in electronic/electromechanical servicing or manufacturing
  • In depth knowledge of fault diagnosis and repair to component level of both SMD and through hole components
  • Competent in bread-boarding/prototyping and soldering of through hole and SMD components
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to work as part of a team, independently and to supervise apprentices
  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement and documentation
  • Must have a sound commitment to workplace health and safety as well as quality management
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is a must

 

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with Microchip PICs
  • Experience with navigation aids, INS, Gyros, Sonars etc.
  • Fault finding RS485, RS232, Ethernet communication

Graduate Naval Architect
 
We have an opportunity to join our team in the role of Graduate Naval Architect. The position is offered on a full-time, 12 month fixed-term basis (with possibility of extension).
 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Marine related calculations (thrust, sea-fastening, DAF, etc.) in an ISO 9001 environment
  • Ensuring design conforms to relevant standards
  • Arranging certification of equipment

Production Engineer
 
We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our well-established Production Engineering team. This is a full-time position and would suit someone who is looking to specialise in a unique and diverse industry and move beyond normal engineering responsibilities.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Turning designs into products via project management; tasks include creating and maintaining Microsoft Project plans, resource planning, procurement of materials and parts, coordinating internal and external suppliers, reporting progress to project leads
  • Reviewing of engineering designs and recommending modifications required for efficient production
  • Assisting as design draftsman when required
  • Organising production of components to be delivered in accordance with the production schedule
  • Monitoring quality of production parts and recommending solutions when quality issues are raised
  • Monitoring project costs
  • Conducting load tests, pressure tests and factory acceptance tests
  • Managing As Built drawings, compiling Manufacturer's Data Reports, project files, certification, progress reports
  • Mentoring and developing of junior team members

 

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified Engineer in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Mechatronic
  • 2 - 5 years' experience in an Engineering position, preferably involved with manufacturing
  • Exposure to 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
  • Microsoft Office skills including MS Project
  • Drafting skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good time management
Experience using Epicor would be an advantage.

Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer
 
TMT (Part of Sapura Energy Well Services) are looking for dedicated, creative locally-based people who want to thrive in the growing field of Light Well Intervention. Work involves engineering, customising and preparing our field proven Light Well Intervention spread for various campaigns, and then going offshore to manage and operate the equipment.

 

We need primarily Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineers, but also Subsea Supervisors and Technicians with experience in:

  • Subsea Riserless Light Well Intervention
  • Subsea IWOCS, XT or BOP (electro) hydraulic controls
  • Offshore E-Line and Slickline operations
  • Subsea completions and workovers

 

Engineering Capability & Experience:

  • Degree plus 5 - 10 years relevant experience
  • SolidWorks modelling and draughting
  • Stress analysis
  • Materials selection
  • Subsea Applications and tooling design
  • Writing reports, work instructions, procedures, manuals etc.
  • Familiar with API, DNV & other standards related to the Oil & Gas industry
  • Managing work packages from design through to Factory Acceptance Testing

Hydraulics/Pressure Vessel Engineer

The need: 

 
Total Marine Technology, as an Approved Subcontractor, is part of the team designing and building the next generation of Submarine Rescue Service for the Commonwealth of Australia supporting the Royal Australian Navy.  
Therefore, we are currently seeking an experienced Hydraulics/Pressure Vessel Engineer. 
The position is offered on a full-time, permanent or 12-month fixed term basis to the right candidate with minimum PR visa who are also eligible for Australian citizenship. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Undertake hydraulics design and analysis of machines primarily used subsea 
  • Selection and/or design of hydraulics components 
  • Pressure vessel calculations (internal or external, static, dynamic, fatigue), FEA or hand calculations 
  • Drafting of assemblies 
  • Drawing of hydraulic schematics 
  • Detailed design of subsea tooling hydraulics and/or ROV, LWI related hydraulic systems 
  • Writing work instructions and procedures and liaising with technical writer 
  • Reporting to project lead, liaising with peer engineers in design 
  • Occasional offshore work 
 

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering discipline 
  • 3+ years of hydraulics design experience 
  • The ‘spark’ of creativity coupled with resourcefulness 
  • Solid understanding of GD&T 
  • High attention to details and understanding how system components interface and interact 
  • Proficient user of 3D CAD package(s), ideally SolidWorks 
  • Proficient user of 2D CAD package such as AutoCAD/HyDraw 
  • Understanding and solid knowledge of BPVCs such as ASME Section VIII including stress linearization 
  • Awareness of AS, DNV, API and ISO drawing standards 
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at a time 
  • Perseverant and conscientious mind 
  • Ideally subsea design experience is preferred 
  • Candidates with fluid dynamics and CFD experience are encouraged to apply as the role may be flexible enough to suit the right candidate
